Artist statement
I mainly paint abstract paintings, where colors, geometric shapes, lines and dots intertwine into a singular and dynamic unity thanks to the imagination. I often integrate these elements even with sewing. For me, sewing is not just a technique, but a sort of door through which my art opens to another world, where the profane meets the sacred.
When I create, my goal is to express myself creatively and let my imagination fly freely. Creativity for me is not just an aspect of art, but the center of creation. I like my works to hide deeper layers and give my viewers the opportunity to think and reflect. It is important that my works not only reflect reality, but also show the world of an inner experience.
When I paint I completely immerse myself in the process and totally transform myself. As József Egry said, too: “When I paint, my soul dresses up festively”.
During painting I get closer to my inner self and to an invisible force that brings with it the essence of creation.
Short biography
I graduated in economics and worked in a bank for 15 years in Hungary but, somehow, my creativity wanted to emerge.
I attended my first drawing course in 2008 and subsequently numerous training courses. I tried different techniques in different laboratories and in 2013 I obtained the certificate of graphic designer. Finally, after a long preparation, I moved to Italy in 2016 to continue my artistic career.
During my painting career I have participated in several group shows in Hungary (for example, in the exhibitions of Ajka Szalon, Lovasberényi Alkotótábor and OTP Bank Galéria), and in 2022 for the first time 9 of my works were exhibited in Florence at the Artists United art exposition of the Florence Art Deposit Gallery. Subsequently, in 2023 I also exhibited at the Santa Croce Arte studio during the exhibition “Di tutti i colori” curated by AcquaFirenze.
With my pictures, I like to express what I feel, not what I see. Creating art is a form of meditation to me.
The photo was taken at the Florence Art Deposit Gallery in 2023 during the group exhibition.
